Groupings

Our multi-activity camps and sports camps focus on getting children together in small groups so they can interact, share amazing experiences, and learn from one another. Meeting different children in a fun and stimulating group environment is key to what we do.

We have created our age groups with the intention of fostering positive group dynamics while maintaining the flexibility to adjust as necessary.

Our sports and multi-activity camps are divided into three primary age groups, but at the end of each day, the youngest and/or older kids are welcome to join together to compete in House competitions.

4-5 Year olds

This age group are looked after by an Early Years Leader who has relevant childcare experience/qualifications, along with assistants. (The staff ratio for these children is a minimum of 1:8).

6 year olds are allowed to move into the middle group if they wish to.

7-9 and 10+ Year olds

A group leader supervises the middle group (ages 6-9) and the elder group (10+) and additional adults usually provide extra group support. Depending on the requirements of the children, the staff-to-child ratio for these children ranges from 1:10 to 1:14 (6-9 year olds) and 1:12 to 1:20 (ages 10+)

Older children in this group are encouraged to assume leadership responsibilities and become more independent during the day.

What if my child is a ‘first timer’?

We will share your child's details with their instructor who will give them extra attention to ensure they are settled into their group.

Will my child remain with this group the entire time?

Since our categories are set up weekly, it is unlikely that they will alter during the course of the week. Should you make a booking for more than one week, it's possible that your child will be assigned to distinct groups on separate weeks. This is a result of the camp's age distribution fluctuating weekly. Please don't be alarmed, as your child will always be in the appropriate age group and playing with children their own age.

Is it possible to pair my child up with a specific friend?

Yes, provided that the two kids agree to the request and share a similar age range (with a maximum two-year age gap).
